Bennett's Busy Week

Bennett has been a busy boy this week. For example, in the last 2 days, he has been through 17 onesies! He manages to make messes when we least expect it. Yesterday he leaked through his diaper, onesie, blanket, and Ryan's pants all in one sitting. At least we know he is eating well!

Today was an exciting day because Bennett FINALLY lost his umbilical stump. Whew! What a relief--we thought he was going to give Nicole a run for her money!

On laundry day we ran out of onesies in the newborn size, so Bennett had to wear one that was one size up. It's enormous on him!

Tummy Time

When Bennett was born, Ryan said he was like Rudy because he was so small and overcame the odds. Well during Bennett's "Tummy Time" he is doing just that. His head is average size, but his body is small; so for him to lift up his head requires extra effort.

Bennett's effort to lift his head a few days ago...

Keep a close eye on his mouth on this one.

Today he had success!

Bennett must be thinking...Mom enjoys these walks more than I do. Or he is just closing his eyes to contemplate the beauties of nature.

Bennett in Motion

Bennett right after his bath...his hair gets so fuzzy!

Hanging out with Dad...we were expecting some spit-up any second!

This is what I call Bennett's "drunk on milk" face

Here is a link to see a clip of Bennett: (It is on my Facebook profile page. I tried to upload it here, but it didn't work)

He doesn't do much in the video--but you can tell that a lot is going on in that cute little head as he takes in the world around him.

Bennett and his Mom have been taking daily walks now, and Bennett loves it! He makes happy sounds on his walks and looks around with big eyes.

We recently had Bennett's two week check-up and we were very pleased with his progress. He now weighs 5 lbs, 10 oz (He weighed 4 lbs 11 oz when he left the hospital). He also grew 2 inches. I would be exhausted if I grew that much in two weeks!
